Luxury House in Silicon Valley
Bohlin Cywinski Jackson Studio designed a one-story luxury house with a meditation garden and a swimming pool in Silicon Valley, California, USA. The residence includes a main house with an area of 385 square meters and a smaller guest house.
Architects selected materials to help create a calm atmosphere. The house is decorated using a natural and fresh palette, reflecting the client’s commitment to simplicity and tranquility. Various types of wood – including Douglas spruce, folded thuja and gray elm – create a sense of warmth. They contrast with elements of industrial style, such as polished concrete floors and structural supports and beams of steel. In the dining area, the three-meter table is made of walnut of local origin. Its natural uneven edges are contrasted with the clean lines of the living room.
